The Secret of the Jar Tomb
Chen Meimei, an outdoor paranormal livestreamer struggling financially, accepts a massive reward from her top viewer, Liu Wenhao. She travels to her hometown to host a live broadcast demolishing an ancient burial site known as the "Jar Tomb." Legend says the tomb was once used to abandon the elderly — and it's cursed by a starvation ghost. Anyone who disturbs it will be driven insane. Despite repeated warnings from her best friend Li Qian and the village chief, Chen Meimei gives in to the temptation of money and the pressure from her online audience. She insists on starting the demolition. Strange occurrences begin the moment the livestream starts. Blood oozes from the brick cracks. An unknown red liquid pours out from a thermos. In front of the tomb, Li Qian starts acting bizarrely — consumed by a ravenous hunger, even becoming aggressive, as if possessed by the starvation ghost herself. Terrified but trapped by the situation, Chen Meimei is forced to continue. Liu Wenhao keeps raising his gifts and pushing her offline. Slowly, his true identity comes to light. As the brick wall is torn down piece by piece, a female skeleton in a modern floral dress is discovered inside the ancient Jar Tomb. Grief-stricken, Liu Wenhao confirms it's his missing fiancée. The situation takes a sharp turn. Chen Meimei and Liu Wenhao return to their rental house, thinking the truth is finally about to come out — only to be drugged unconscious by Li Qian's tea. When they wake up, bound and helpless, Li Qian and the village chief appear before them.
