Pear Blossom Dream
Li Zhi has been tormented by the same dream night after night. In it, she is tangled with a stranger in a hot spring—intimate, vivid, inescapable. In real life, she has a loving boyfriend, Zhou Kai, and a proposal waiting in the square. She says yes, hoping marriage will finally bury the nightmares. But the man in her dreams is no fantasy. He is Zhou Tingxiao, the feared head of the Zhou Clan, known as the Living Yama. He, too, is trapped in the same dreams, craving the warmth of the woman whose shoulder bears a pear blossom birthmark. He searches the entire city—and finds nothing. A hotel mix-up brings them face to face. She eases his sudden headache. She leaves behind a pear blossom ribbon. He knows: she is real. They meet only in dreams, until the day Li Zhi learns she is about to marry Zhou Kai—Zhou Tingxiao’s own nephew. On her wedding day, Zhou Tingxiao storms the ceremony, offers his most treasured prayer beads as a betrothal gift, and claims her as his own. Zhou Kai’s mask crumbles. Li Zhi sees his greed for what it is. Under Zhou Tingxiao’s fierce protection, she slowly lets her guard down—and falls for the man who would burn the world for her. But a poison lurks in his blood. The curse says only one of them can live. To save her, he lies and drives her away. The truth is darker: Zhou Kai poisoned them both, orchestrating the dreams, the pursuit, the betrayal—all to seize the Zhou empire. When the conspiracy is exposed, Li Zhi returns without hesitation. Together, they shatter his schemes. Zhou Kai ends in chains. Their love, against all odds, neutralizes the poison. Li Zhi takes the helm of the Zhou Group, carrying their child—and steps into a new life with Zhou Tingxiao, sweet and steady, as if waking from a long, dark dream into pear blossom dawn.
