Enduring bullying from her stepmother and half-sister, along with her father's indifference, the woman found comfort in the steadfast support of the man. Yet, when she was 22, her half-sister, unable to have children, plotted to marry into the man's family. She threatened the woman to bear a child for her and subjected the child to ongoing abuse.
