Descend Mountain
The ancient ancestor of the Ye family, Alexander, is over 800 years old and has lived since the time of Zhu Yuanzhang. He lives on a mountain with his great-grandchildren, all in their late 80s or 90s. But when a disaster is predicted, Alexander is forced to come down the mountain and marry the world’s most beautiful woman, Elena. The Ye family descendants have never seen Alexander, so when they meet him, they mistake him for a scam artist named Sun Zhong. Elena also thinks Sun Zhong is her fiancé. Elena, who’s frail and often sick, faints and accidentally runs into Alexander. He heals her, and she starts developing feelings for him. Even though she likes him, she’s still expected to marry into the Ye family. On the day of her engagement party, a mix-up happens, and no one believes Alexander’s true identity. But eventually, Ye Hai Cheng, the financial emperor, proves that Alexander is the real Ye family ancestor, and the family realizes how badly they messed up. The Du family, who’s always been jealous of the Ye family, makes a move during the engagement party. They’re able to do this because their own ancestor gave them powerful skills and poison. What Du Lei doesn’t know is that Alexander is actually the Du family’s ancestor. He keeps making mistakes in front of Alexander and ends up facing the consequences, being locked away in a living-dead prison. After going through many challenges, Alexander and Elena finally end up together.
