The Search for Dad
A rural girl, Jessica, whose parents passed away, was seen as a disaster by the villagers. Alone and helpless, she wanted to understand life. At her lowest point, the troubled young man, Peterson, barged in. They saved each other's lives and instantly fell in love, secretly promising to be together forever. A month later, Peterson had to return to the city to handle a family dispute. Fearing for Jessica's safety, he left her a marriage certificate, promising to come back and marry her. He was gone for five years. During this time, Jessica gave birth to their daughter, Pean, and waited for him to return. One day, her cousin Joyce barged into the house, drove Jessica out, and took over the house. She mocked Jessica, saying that Peterson had already married and had children in the city, abandoning her. Devastated, Jessica refused to believe that Peterson had fallen for someone else. Determined, she took their daughter and headed to the city to find him. At the same time, Peterson was on his way back, but they missed each other. Meanwhile, Joyce took advantage of the situation and occupied the house. When Peterson arrived at their secret meeting spot, he was greeted only by Joyce. Joyce, now aware of Peterson's identity, had her daughter Megan take Pean's place and falsely accused Jessica of abandoning her husband and child, claiming she had already married someone else. Peterson took Megan back to the city and organized a grand family recognition ceremony. Just as Jessica and Pean arrived, Joyce blocked them at the door. In the ensuing struggle, Pean was pushed into the street and hit by a car, seriously injured. Jessica rushed Pean to the hospital, missing her chance to meet Peterson. Joyce had further fueled the misunderstanding, making Jessica believe that Peterson had been cheating on her with Joyce, and that he intended to harm their daughter for the sake of Joyce's child. When Peterson found out that Jessica had married another man, he was heartbroken. With the misunderstandings growing deeper, can the two who once loved each other still find their way back to each other?
