Blood Diamonds
"Ding Shuo is tricked by his childhood friend Qian Guang into a Southeast Asian casino, where he is drugged, loses all his savings—including his fiancée Zhou Ying’s bride price—and falls into debt. Desperate, he pawns the Rolex Zhou Ying gave him to buy a raw gamble-stone. Before he can cut it open, he is captured by Qian Guang’s loan sharks and sold to a ruthless mine to repay his debt. There, he uncovers the mine owner Jia Dahu’s cruel hypocrisy and stumbles upon blood-stained clothing. He meets Li Xue, a college student on the run for discovering a blood diamond, who reveals the mine’s dark secrets: hoarding gems and murdering miners. Together, they escape pursuit and, with help from the Eagle Society, return to China with the blood diamond. But Qian Guang arrives first, blackmailing Ding’s mother Li Qiao with a fake video. When Zhou Ying offers money, the debt is raised. Ding reveals the blood diamond, only to face deeper extortion and kidnapping. To save his mother and fiancée, he returns to Southeast Asia, cuts open his hidden gamble-stone to reveal a kingfisher-jade worth billions, but then disappears into the hands of the mine. Zhou Ying and Li Xue pose as a rich buyer and spread rumors, teaming up with a gamble-stone dealer and law enforcement to expose the mine’s crimes. Jia Dahu and his enforcer Da Qiang are brought to justice. At Ding and Zhou’s wedding, Qian Guang forges evidence to split them up but is exposed by Li Xue’s father. He attacks with a knife, only to be subdued by Li Xue. In the end, Qian Guang is imprisoned, Ding and Zhou marry with Li Xue’s blessing, and the story concludes."
