The Life-Sovereign Descends

To cure Sunfire's Venom — a rare, fatal affliction — Zachary Sutton, heir of Healer Valley, a legendary sanctuary of miracle healers, comes down the mountain to marry a daughter of the Warren family. But his aloof fiancée publicly tears up the marriage contract and flatly refuses him. Bound by his master's dying wish, Zachary turns around and marries Claire Warren, another daughter of the family. Meanwhile, high society is frantically hunting for the legendary Life-Sovereign, said to have descended the mountain in search of his fated bride. Little do they know — the penniless nobody they sneer at is the very man they are desperate to find.
