Past Events of Shuangshui Village
The Twin Rivers Village had been divided by a century-long feud over water rights, leaving the Upper River Village and Lower River Village completely estranged, as though they were sworn enemies who would rather die than interact with each other. Against this backdrop, Ye Tianlong and Zhong Xiulan's forbidden love, crossing village lines, became a scandal that violated strict clan traditions. When their affair was reported, the couple was forced to flee. Over the next decade, Ye Tianlong rose from being a laborer on construction sites to becoming the richest man in Yun City, while Zhong Xiulan was coerced into marrying the son of their sworn enemy, silently bearing immense humiliation and sacrifice as she secretly raised their child.
When the Twin Rivers Village found itself in a desperate and seemingly hopeless situation, its desperate residents turned to Ye Tianlong for help. Old grudges and lingering affections that had never truly cooled began to intertwine once again. Confronted with the villagers' remorse, relentless provocations from his enemies, and Zhong Xiulan's quiet resilience, Ye Tianlong unleashed his fury to settle old scores. Yet, in the midst of this reckoning, he unexpectedly uncovered the truth about his son's origins. In the end, Ye Tianlong chose to let go of his vendetta, leading the Twin Rivers Village to overcome its deeply rooted traditions and restrictions. As he reconciled familial bonds and rekindled his enduring love, he transformed the once-isolated village into a thriving land of prosperity.
