Whispers of a Forgotten Promise
Fermo and Lilian were engaged to each other as children through an arranged marriage. However, on their wedding day, Fermo was in a car accident that left him blind. Dissatisfied with the marriage arranged by his family, the first thing he wanted to do after returning to the country was to get a divorce. However, on the very day he returned, someone drugged him, and by coincidence, he ended up having a relationship with Lilian. When Lilian woke up and saw Fermo sleeping beside her, she had no idea that he was actually her husband. Fortunately, because he was blind, Lilian managed to escape unnoticed. However, when she returned to her company, she was shocked to discover that Fermo was actually her boss. She chose to keep it a secret. Meanwhile, Fermo found a golden locket left in the room that night and traced it back to Lilian’s best friend, Chu Yun. Fermo, however, felt no attraction toward the impersonating Chu Yun. Nevertheless, due to her outstanding work ability and her plain appearance, she was chosen as Fermo’s secretary. As Fermo and Lilian interacted daily, he gradually discovered her admirable qualities, and their feelings for each other deepened over time. Both Fermo and Lilian wanted a divorce—Fermo because he never agreed to the arranged marriage, and Lilian because of her overwhelming guilt about what she believed was an affair. When they finally met face to face, neither of them realized the other’s true identity. Yet, through a series of coincidences and encounters, their bond grew stronger. Seeing this unfold, Chu Yun became furious. Fearing that Fermo would one day uncover the truth, she did everything she could to drive Lilian away…
