Forsaken
Shen Yue, the hidden CEO of Huayue Group—Yun Nation's leading enterprise—has always concealed her identity to protect her family. She even secretly arranged promotions and pay raises for her younger brother, Shen Yaozong, making him a project department manager. However, during a company-wide health check, Yaozong is diagnosed with end-stage uremia. Determined to save him, Shen Yue immediately takes him to consult Dr. Wang. But it’s too late—Yaozong’s kidneys have nearly failed, and only an immediate transplant can save him. Without hesitation, Shen Yue offers to donate one of her own kidneys, despite Dr. Wang’s objections, and secures the best transplant specialist for the surgery. Yet, after everything is arranged, a misunderstood phone call from Dr. Wang leads Yaozong to believe Shen Yue is the one with uremia—and that she wants his kidney. Panicked, he rushes home to conspire with their parents, Shen Pingguo and Chen Meihua, to abandon her. When Shen Yue returns, they ambush her with accusations. Before she can explain, Yaozong coldly declares she is the sick one and tells her to "give up." Though heartbroken by the misunderstanding, Shen Yue pleads for Yaozong to undergo the life-saving surgery. But he dismisses her, and their parents join in, hurling cruel insults—even wishing her dead. Just as Dr. Wang calls to confirm the surgery, Yaozong snatches her phone and publicly refuses the procedure. He then reveals he stole 600,000 yuan from her account to bribe a senior executive, Wang Yu, for a chance to meet Huayue’s "mysterious CEO." Finally, he forces Shen Yue to sign a severance agreement, cutting all family ties. Devastated, Shen Yue kowtows to her parents one last time, signs the document with trembling hands, and vows to reclaim everything she once sacrificed for them.
