The Second Heartbeat
"In Yuncheng, Ji Yansi, the eldest daughter of the wealthy Ji family, and Jiang Ziqian, the adopted son of the Jiang family, meet by chance during a business trip. Yansi has long endured the abuse of her stepmother, Shen Li, while Ziqian is tired of being treated like a slave by his adoptive father, Jiang Hong. Afterward, Ziqian and Yansi come clean, laughing at each other’s deception. Ziqian warns Yansi about the Jiang family’s corruption, but she refuses to believe him, vowing to become the young mistress of the Jiang family.
