The Buried Truth
Wang Yang accumulated hundreds of thousands in debt from gambling and was being pursued by loan sharks. To claim a one-million-yuan insurance payout, he concealed the truth of his mother’s accidental death. He feared that his sister would blame him for failing to care for their mother properly. Just then, the loan sharks showed up, demanding immediate repayment. In a panic, Wang Yang tried to claim the insurance money, only to learn that the policy could be redeemed once the term ended, regardless of whether his mother was alive or not. Overwhelmed with regret and shock, he fainted. When he awoke, he realized it had all been a dream.
