At the trial, Zack Zhao and Wesley Wu give false testimony, sealing Fiona Fang’s fate—until her college friend-turned-lawyer, Sean Shen, steps in. He dismantles the lies, exposing the shocking truth: The villagers’ malignancies were caused by Chang Rong’s distribution of carcinogenic, unregulated "health supplements." Zack Zhao’s paralysis was faked; Fiona Fang’s formula was proven effective by Xie Huaisu (her father’s mentor), a leading specialist. Wesley Wu and others accepted huge bribes, living lavishly while refusing to pay for treatments.
