Into the Abyss
Yun Qian and Xiao Tingye grew up together, childhood sweethearts who loved each other deeply. They thought they would always be together, but during university, they encountered the Shen family siblings, who ruined their lives. Shen Jieying became infatuated with Xiao Tingye and, with the help of her two brothers, bullied Yun Qian. The Shen family was wealthy and powerful, and to protect Yun Qian, Xiao Tingye pretended to agree to date Shen Jieying. Yun Qian, for Xiao Tingye's future, reluctantly gave him up. However, Shen Jieying was not satisfied with Xiao Tingye’s indifference to her feelings and decided to kill Yun Qian while Xiao Tingye was abroad. When Yun Qian was forced to jump off a cliff, Xiao Tingye arrived in time to witness it. Ten years later, after witnessing Shen Jieying's car accident and coma, Yun Qian underwent plastic surgery to look like Shen Jieying and returned to the Shen family to take her place, seeking revenge. Meanwhile, Xiao Tingye had become a successful, wealthy CEO in Yun City. He visited the Shen family to ask for Shen Jieying's hand in marriage, also to avenge Yun Qian. Yun Qian mistakenly thought Xiao Tingye had fallen in love with Shen Jieying and forgotten her, feeling heartbroken. However, she started to experience the kindness of Shen Jieying's two brothers (who treated her like a beloved pet). Yun Qian knew they were treating her well only because they thought she was Shen Jieying, but due to her difficult upbringing, she found herself somewhat addicted to this kindness. However, Yun Qian was fully aware that their kindness was fleeting, and more importantly, the Shen family owed her a life. With a firm resolve, Yun Qian began her revenge but, due to some small habits, Xiao Tingye and Shen Jia's eldest brother, Shen Qianyue, began to doubt her identity. Yun Qian carefully managed the situation and convinced the brothers that she was Shen Jieying, but Xiao Tingye continued investigating her. At this point, the real Shen Jieying woke up and returned to the Shen family but was driven away by her two brothers. Yun Qian watched the Shen family's internal conflict with a smile, while Shen Jieying turned to Xiao Tingye, pretending to be Yun Qian. Although Xiao Tingye suspected Shen Jieying, he kept her around to test Yun Qian's identity. Yun Qian misunderstood Xiao Tingye and decided to act first, agreeing to the proposal and showing off in front of Shen Jieying. This led Shen Jieying to lose control and kidnap Yun Qian. However, Yun Qian's people were the killers, and Yun Qian was unharmed, while Shen Jieying was poisoned and mute, eventually being tortured and killed by Shen Qianxiang. Only then did Yun Qian reveal the truth, acknowledging her identity to Xiao Tingye. Shen Qianxiang went insane and was arrested, while Shen Qianyue ended up wandering the streets.
