Magic Breaker
Jax, a lowly laborer, and Seraphina, a noblewoman fleeing an arranged marriage, were brought together by fate and fled for their lives. After suffering humiliation during his military service, Jax was dragged into a disturbance deep within the mines, where he fused with a raw magic stone at death's door and awakened magic immunity alongside absolute strength. Seraphina burst into the mine seeking escape, only to find her high-level fire magic utterly useless against him, and she was compelled to follow his lead when the caverns began to collapse, binding their fates together as they ran. Along the way, their clashing views on class erupted in heated exchange, and Jax shattered the heavy armor of knights with his bare hands, revealing himself as a magic breaker. Commander Thorne arrived with orders from the highest authority to kill them both, and in the moment of greatest peril, Jax withstood a catastrophic fireblast with nothing but his body to shield Seraphina. They took refuge among ancient ruins, where he revealed the slave brand on his back and spoke of how his parents were burned alive, and Seraphina realized with horror that Lord Malcor, her own guardian, had been the one who slaughtered Jax's family. Even now, the knightly host encircled the ruins with massive magical weaponry, leaving no path unwatched.
