After returning from a six-month business trip, Maeve discovered that her aunt Daisy, whom she had kindly taken in, repaid kindness with betrayal. Not only did Daisy boss around and mistreat Maeve's mother Delilah at the supermarket, but she also secretly stole two hundred thousand dollars in cash from the store's earnings. Worse still, she tricked Delilah into signing a fraudulent transfer agreement, seized control of the supermarket, and kicked both Delilah and Maeve out. Maeve called the police, and Daisy was arrested and sent to prison. Maeve rebuilt the supermarket, ran it with honesty and integrity, and business flourished. In the end, the wicked got what they deserved.
