After their breakup, Lu retaliated by spreading rumors at school, accusing Qingyu of ""gold-digging and cheating,"" damaging her professional reputation. Playing the long game, Qingyu pretended to reconcile while gathering evidence: surveillance footage of Lu's financial abuse, chat logs proving his infidelity, and documents showing his corporate misconduct. Her revenge came during Lu's crucial product presentation to client Li Xiuming. As Lu concluded his speech, the screen displayed his 80-cent tirade followed by evidence of his extravagance toward Lin Qin. The exposure cost Lu both his job and reputation, while Qingyu's strategic brilliance earned her a product manager position at the company. In a poetic twist, client Li Xiuming was revealed to be a former scholarship student Qingyu's family had supported. Their rekindled connection blossomed into an equal partnership, contrasting sharply with Lu's desperate attempts to win her back - including kneeling in the rain - all firmly rejected. The once-downtrodden teacher emerged as a confident professional, her eight-cent standoff having rewritten her destiny. "
