After dozens of IVF procedures, Jane Yan finally conceives and prepares to share the news with her husband Sean Xu, the hospital director. But Evan Xuan—Sean's childhood sweetheart Jenny Zheng's son—knocks Jane over with his scooter. At a grand press conference, he claims infertility to win Jane back—only for her to expose how he caused their child's death. Sean turns gray overnight. Three years later, he lives alone while Jane remarries and has two children.
