Healing a Broken Home
To pay off her ex-husband's debt, Erin married Nick and brought her daughter along. However, as a woman from the countryside, she was looked down upon by her mother-in-law and stepdaughter, who treated her like a mistress responsible for destroying their family. Despite Erin's efforts to fit in, her stepdaughter and her biological mother teamed up to make Erin's daughter accidentally ingest detergent, which landed her in the hospital. Meanwhile, Nick was busy with work and felt guilty toward his ex-wife, leading him to overlook Erin's feelings. Heartbroken, and with her daughter facing bullying at school due to her stepdaughter’s schemes, Erin decided to leave the situation and focus on gaining confidence through her work. Eventually, when Nick finally recognized the true nature of his ex-wife and daughter, he sincerely apologized to Erin and they reconciled, coming back together.
