Quinn and Wayne have been married for many years and have a daughter named Nina, who has been suffering from a severe heart condition since birth. One day, Nina's heart condition suddenly relapsed. Quinn rushed Nina to the hospital where her husband, Wayne, works as a doctor. Wayne informed Quinn that a suitable heart had been found for Nina, and that with the surgery, Nina would survive. As Quinn prepared Nina for the surgery, Wayne's ex-girlfriend, Belle, showed up with their love child, Zoe. However, during her time with Zoe, Quinn was reminded of her own daughter and, softening, she let Zoe go. In the end, Wayne and Belle died in a car accident while fleeing.
