The Illiterate Imperial Concubine's Way of Making Money
The daughter of the wealthiest man, Ashton, couldn't read a single character and lived by the motto, "Pinch pennies where you can, splurge where it counts." Her father, armed with endless wealth, arranged for her to enter the royal palace under the guise of being the adopted daughter of the Duke's household, so she could experience life as an imperial consort. Rather than scheming for favor or vying for status, Ashton relied on her financial prowess to navigate the intricacies of the palace. She spent extravagantly to rename palace halls, opened high-class restaurants, organized literacy classes, and used her business savvy to navigate the intrigues of the royal harem. Gradually, she transformed the palace into her personal business empire, earning the admiration of everyone in the Six Palaces as the "Patroness of Prosperity."
At first, Ashton and Demi, the legitimate and highborn daughter of the Duke's household, were at odds with each other, constantly clashing due to their starkly different personalities. However, after weathering numerous trials together, the two women reconciled their differences. United by a shared vision, they teamed up to create a national brand, "Qing Yun" (symbolizing 'pure elegance'), using commerce to resolve conflicts and foster peace.
