Lawful Outlaw
Migrant worker Chen Jianguo was left disabled in a factory accident, but the richest man, Mr. Wang, refused to provide compensation. This led Chen Jianguo's wife and daughter to take their own lives. The protagonist, Silas, took on the persona of the "Outlaw Within the Law," kidnapping Mr. Wang in an attempt to demand justice. On the surface, Silas worked as an assistant at the Xie Family Law Firm, but in truth, he had been stripped of his license to practice law due to the selfish interests of his adoptive father, Xie Zhengyi. He endured silently for years, until one day, the law firm took on a shocking case: a wealthy heir, Zhang San, was accused of attempted rape and deliberately killing twelve people, trying to buy his way to freedom. Silas had assumed that the firm would reject such a vile case—but to his shock, the man he once admired as a father, Xie Zhengyi, accepted it for money. While arguing with the Xie family, Silas made a heartbreaking discovery—the victims of Zhang San’s crimes were his own biological family. His younger sister, Ellie, was the sole survivor. Worse yet, his adoptive father Xie Zhengyi defended Zhang San for profit, even going so far as to falsely accuse Ellie of poisoning and murder. Silas completely severed ties with the Xie family and teamed up with a righteous lawyer named Clara. Together, they exposed Zhang San’s use of illegal substances and the Xie family’s forged evidence, using Silas’s "Outlaw Within the Law" identity to gather crucial proof. During the live court broadcast, Silas publicly revealed his identity as the "Outlaw Within the Law." Using legal loopholes and the support of the public, he defeated the Xie Family Law Firm. Zhang San was sentenced to death, and his father, Mr. Zhang, was imprisoned for harboring a criminal. The Xie family’s reputation was destroyed, Xie Zhengyi and his son lost everything, and Ellie’s name was cleared as she reunited with Silas. In the end, Silas was summoned by the police due to his vigilante identity. On the way, he was framed by a woman named Huang Ying and falsely accused of assaulting an officer. As a result, he was sent to the infamous Devil’s Island Prison.
